Peekaboo…

Filming Three Billy Goats Gruff.

Gnar is extremely hidden.

Gnar’s getting so big… He’s almost bigger than me!

Note the photobomber in the lower right.

He was being too adorable to pass up,
but too wiggly to get a good picture.

He did gyre and gimble in the wabe.
“Why are you… *sigh* just take the damn picture and let me go.”

On set at Three Billy Goats Gruff.

I really can’t say anything about this except, “d’awwwwwww…”

National Naming Convention

The newbs have official names! I gave them different-colored collars to tell them apart, and for now that’s the primary physical difference. The collars may be hard to see in the pictures, but here are the names by collar color:

  • White: Owlbear
  • Red: Oni
  • Purple: Goblin
  • Green: Sphinx
  • Gold: Kenku

We decided to name them from the D&D monster manual. It fits, I think.

Kitten pile!

Rollin’ around.

Gnar’s tongue got caught on Owlbear’s collar.

“We heard there was food over here.”

Holy crap, they’re getting so big…

The Lucky Bunch, doin’ their thang.
Newbs, having a cuppa.

Argh, phone pics so rarely come
out. Tayler, grooming Cricket.

You can't really tell, but Gnar is using Squish’s
paw as a pillow. That's about as cuddly as they get.

Community

There will be more pictures of bottle babies soon. They spend most of their time eating and sleeping right now, so it’s hard to find pictures that are both good and different from all the rest. Another week or so and they’ll be crawling all around, though!

Tayler, challenging kitten cuteness since 2001.

Three cats in a row.

Nothin’, just chillin’.

Yoga is good for a growing cat.

Inventory: kitten on the arm of the sofa, kitten
on my chest, Squish, Gnar, kitten, and Tayler
on the back of the couch. All accounted for.

Gnar inspects newb and gives him a C.

Newbs and Oldbs

Much to his chagrin, I am forcing Clover to snuggle instead of doing the I Love You Stomp.

Gnar and Cricket are having a failure to communicate.

My brother and his adorable son, bonding with Cricket.
(He's the nearly-invisible black cat in the kid's lap.)

These newbs look more like actual cats,
in terms of the positions they lie about in,
than any other neonates I've ever fostered.

Is it a shrimp? Is it a kitten? The world may never know.

INCOMING

Good news everyone! We have accepted a group of five six-day-old kittens! They are light gray in color, so taking pics of them will be no problem! Telling them apart, however, is another story.

Sometimes I just have to give my older
kitties some love. Tayler is the cutiest.

Gnar couldn’t stay awake long enough to get comfortable.

Squish secretly loves it when the kittens use him as a bed.

Gnar, conversely, looks at it as his god-
given right to use kittens as pillows.

This kitten had been laying on me, then he got too
hot and walked off. He came to rest in this position.

First photo of the new babies!!

Dramatic Lighting Cat

Cricket was adorably sleeping, but to me it looks like he’s auditioning to be a hobbit.

It was late afternoon, see, and the sun splashed
over the floor like warm whiskey. Tayler was just
starting to sip when the broad walked in…

Kitten battlefield—no survivors.
